Hello Joe,
I'm running the same program on the same configuration. If you are sure you are running outlook 2010 64 bit version, please tell us what kind of errors do you receive.
Also please send me the syncronizationlog.txt that is located in "user"\appdata\local, changing "user" with your user name.
If you want you can send this file directly to me via email at [email protected].

This way we can try to find your issue and study a solution.

Thank you for your feedback
Francesco

Hi there -- Thank you so much for taking the effort to do this necessary syncing program. I downloaded and installed yesterday and had a seamless first sync - awesome! This morning, though, sorry to report: "execution of request failed". Under separate email I'll send you the full screen grab of the error box, along with the syncronization txt file you mentioned above. Thanks!!

Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your feedback. If the program worked fine the first time it could be to a temporary network problem that you got such an error. Please retry a little later.
I look forward looking into your log file to try to see where the problem may be, if you keep getting the error.
If you enjoy the program, please consider donating a small sum to keep us working on the project.
Thank you
Francesco

Hi there,
seems I have a similar problem now. First time trying to sync from Outlook to Google Calendar... and get an error (see attachement)

"Execution of request failed:
h..p://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/dietmar........"

Also a Win7 64bit and Outlook 2010 64bit system.

synconizationlog.txt:
01.04.2011 08:31:48: Synchronization start at 01.04.2011 08:31:48
01.04.2011 08:31:48: New appointments because UserProp Null count = 2 and NewUser count = 13

I run a German language Win7 and Outlook 2010, so the error text translated to English is (please excuse if it isn´t correct):

Google.GData.Client.GDataRequestException: Execution of request failed: h..p://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/[email protected]/private/full ---> System.Net.WebException: The Remoteserver sent back error message: (400) Invalid Request.

Any idea?

Did Google made some changes?

Hope to get your answers soon, as it is a very useful and good tool for me!

Dietmar

Dear Dietmar,
It really seems exactly the same problem.
Tomorrow the programmer will start working on finding a solution for this bug.
Most likely we will need your help in solving this issue, since we are unable to replicate your error on our machines.
We should have some news by tuesday/wednesday, I will update you all as soon as possibile.
Thank you
Francesco

Dear friends,
As I suspected it would seem as if some of your appointments have some missing data in them, and this appears to be crashing the app.
The programmer has compiled the attached version of the program hoping it could solve the issue.
In case this version shouldn't fix your problem please send me your logfile via mail at [email protected].
The new log file should help us better understand what is going wrong if this version shouldn't fix the problem.

To install this version please follow this procedure:
- Delete the sycronizationlog.txt located in "user"\appdata\local.
- Go to control Panel and remove the program.
- install the new version. It can be downloaded from the blog or directly from the following link: www.freefilehosting.net/googleoutlooksync102

Thank you for your feedbacks, looking forward resolving this issue and allowing you all to enjoy the program.

Francesco

In case some of you want to try there is a procedure which takes a few minutes and it could solve the problem:
If any of you can please try it and let us know it would be of much help (in case the new version doesn't solve the issue). If anyone of you can, please try it and let us know the outcome. Here is the procedure:

The error appears to occur in some of your recurring appointments. Ifyou don't have too many of them you could try the following that couldsolve the problem:

- Open outlook
- Delete your google calendar
- In Outlook click on view tab->change view->list; this will show you
all the recurring appointments packed together
- Edit the recurring settings of each recurring appointment and save
them. Any change will do. i.e. you could edit one yearly appointment
by changing it to daily, save it and then change it back to yearly and
save it again. This will correct any incomplete data
- syncronize the calendars.

If you try it please let us know the outcome.

Thank you :woot: !

Hi Francesco,

it worked!

With the new version 1,02 i received an "Index out of Array" error.
So I followed your instructions, deletetd the Google Calender, edited each and every entry in the Outlook calender... and now everything is working fine again !

Thanks a lot!!!

Hello Dietmar!
I am so glad it worked!
I am sorry you had to go through the whole processing of editing appointments.

Thank you for your feedback, I hope this solves the issue for everybody else who incurred in the same error.

Cheers
Francesco
